Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks are some of Maybelline New York’s best-selling products — and duh, of course they are. Anyone who’s tried them knows they provide velvety, matte color with a surprisingly elastic, hydrating feel. But if, for some strange reason, you needed even more motivation to finally introduce them into your lip-color wardrobe, a new collaboration with mixed-media artist Ashley Longshore makes them completely irresistible.

The new Maybelline New York x Ashley Longshore collection features prints from Longshore’s instantly recognizable designs, interpreted to perfectly fit the packaging of six SuperStay Matte Ink shades: Loyalist (a dusty beige-pink), Believer (a deep berry-purple), Pioneer (a deep, classic red), Dreamer (a sweet light pink), Visionary (a dusty darker mauve), and Artist (a bold magenta). Even more colorful than the liquid lipstick itself is the packaging, which features different graphical styles including cartoonish drawings, bold text, and elegant illustrations combined to create tiny, portable works of art.

“Ashley Longshore has quickly become known for her colorful, pop-inspired art — uniquely combining the use of words and images to make a bold statement,” reads a press release from Maybelline. “Not only is Longshore a social media sensation, but she’s also taken the fashion industry by storm with partnerships at top retailers and designers in the industry.”

Longshore herself is just as thrilled as Maybelline about the collaboration. “Recreating my designs for the packaging of Maybelline New York’s SuperStay Matte Ink was an incredible opportunity to work with a new medium,” Longshore said in a statement. “My love of color is always what really makes my artwork ‘pop,’ and the Maybelline shades selected really emphasize this. I have always found synergies between makeup and art as tools to express myself, and I hope this collection empowers others to do the same.”
